According to stuff I've read, the burials are done aboveground in New Orleans
because the water table itself is just too high there.
You can't dig down deep enough to bury anybody without hitting water.
So there are mausoleums. Presumably there are memorial stones as
part of the mausoleums, but you shouldn't see tombstones per se.
