Guess they can afford to give away the old 5.0. I think the current version
is called Visual dBase 5.5. This has been well reviewed in the Fido Clipper
forum, and may be a better way than Delphi to do Windows database work if
you don't need to scale to the enterprise level.
Delphi is slick, but its database capabilities always strike me as being
slow and clumsy. For example, Calvert's book has a parent-child-grandchild
(customer-order-line item) SQL example whose low speed would be totally
unacceptable in any workplace.
