Bonjour, Peter! Suite au message de Peter Fitzsimmons a Matthew Smith: MS>> What exactly do I need to develop a DIVE-enabled MS>> application? DART enabled? Please don't tell me I MS>> have to go spend $200 on a Devcon subscription. . . PF> That's the only answer (although IBM VA C++ contains a version of the PF> toolkit that might have DIVE -- i'm not sure). PF> To add salt to the wounds of you devcon-holdouts, now you are missing PF> out on a complete copy of IBM VA C++ which is on devcon 9. Complete ? It is still 60-days limited. That would be ok if it worked... But it is VERY buggy. The Workframe 3 is so slow (even on a P100 with accelerated S3 968 video and 32 MB RAM), and has so many bugs, it's much faster to build makefiles yourself ! Worse, I have not been convinced AT ALL by the new version of the compiler. My code breaks completely with it ! It worked fine with C Set ++ 2.1 as long as I didn't use optimizations (which made it crash!). But now even without them it hangs everywhere inside the C runtime libraries ! I don't know what I can do about this. Plus, 2 out of 6 assembly object files won't link anymore with VAC++, for no apparent reason ... I had to make a DLL just for them (built with the older linker!). Since I saw a lot of VAC++ CSDs on Devcon 9, I decided to give them a shot. But for some reason, I can't get any CSD to apply onto that time-limited version ! I hope there is a way to patch it, because as released it is simply unusable ! A bientot !
