RW> dial a one' message from the phone company.

Roy, you do not have access to DSN so you dialed Holland...

To be clear, DSN is a totally separate phone system with only a few access
¨points outside it to the 'rest of the world'. It uses the same type of
gear ¨but has no relationship at all to that numbering schema (?NANFA?).
Bob Seaborn ¨tracked a call from me and to him, it comes from someplace
mid-west USA. ¨Colorado or something? He did some sort of lookup due to
sucky lines which I ¨get in summer when the local switch housed building
hits 110F.

On hot days in summer, I have to wait til sunset and a bit after, to get a
¨decent connection out.

RW> Must be a coincidence that you would pick that number...

I didnt pick it. Thats DSN numbering and long predates my arrival in Japan.

Thems the breaks!
