subject: proposed new nodelist

FV> True, but not in the numbers that Fidonet did have. New
FV> software to replace old software that is no longer
FV> developed is more difficult to find now.

FV> Maybe the real problem is that Fidonet has grown so used
FV> to having software "laid at their feet" that we have
FV> forgotten how, or just can not convince ourselves to ask
FV> someone to develop a software that is needed.

ummm... this is what happens when politicos take over and those with the
technical prowness leave...

FV> Of course, not having standards and specifications to
FV> follow in the development is hurting development as well.

ummm... there are standards... only seven (original) FTS documents, AIR...
all the rest are proposals... well, before the current FTSC was formed and
subsequently fell asleep like the original one...
