subject: moving messages out

Hiyas.
after experimenting with a forced-read local area, where anyone can post,
it's gotten out of hand (there are a billion conversations going on, none of
which are pvt - about 20 - 30 messages are getting posted a day). There is an
option to turn it off, but then what's the point of even having the area....
right now, i have ANNOUNCE and LOCAL ... LOCAL was the old area, and it's the
one full of junk messages. i just created ANNOUNCE a few minutes ago.
What i would like to do, is keep up to 10 messages in ANNOUNCE, and instead
of deleting messages, move them to LOCAL.
Is this possible? any program out there to do it, or can i do it using
tmgr?
thanks.
ttyl, greg
