JH> Hi everyone, I can imagine that you will have heard of a small
JH> 60's/70's prog-rock band called Led Zeppelin
KN>
KN> You are welcome to discuss Zep here, but if they're a
KN> progrock band then I'm Dutch. Zep are traditionally
KN> on-topic here in a special "honourable mention" category
KN> along with Queen, the Beatles, the Move, SAHB, Family, a
KN> few others. Some of Zep's tunes are prog, like "Kashmir"
KN> but it's stretching things to call them a progrock band,
KN> IMO.
Can you provide a capsule definition for what constitutes "ProgRock"
as far as this echo is concerned? I'd be tempted to include the
Move in that category, and I'd certainly include Family.
KN> If you're into blues based prog, did you ever get into
KN> the Groundhogs or Back Door, or, for that matter, Captain
KN> Beefheart?
Yes to all three.
