Hi everybody,
About "FDSZ" of April 12:
MS> Having played with `VMWare' somewhat i'd say the answer can be no
MS> under certain circumstances. I'm not familiar with `SIO'/'VMoDem...
Ignore this post (my quote from above), for all practical purposes!
MS> ...the interface emulates a UART, if i recall correctly...
There's an apparence of contradiction between my two posts. In the
text which wasn't meant for posting (it was a think-pad), ~TelNet~ links
travel thru emulated ~UART~-based Serial-Ports (which would also provide
compatibility with a lot of Communications/BBS SoftWare). In a 2nd post
(the reviewed version where i retain elements suitable for publication),
euh... well, i insist a ~FOSSIL~ driver will be mandatory for `FDSZ'...
In one case i reply no and in the other it's yes. A contradiction:
;-)
MS> ...the answer can be no...
MS> ...the short answer is "yes"...
Obviously, the external file transfer protocol driver would require
~UART~-based interfacing in some cases while in others a ~FOSSIL~ driver
is the kind of interface one needs to have for such a piece of SoftWare.
Salutations, :)
