Which version of SMAPI are you using? The API keeps changing!
I've made some changes to timEd that may allow it to compile with
smapi-2.5-current but the huskylib-1.9-current makefile (the version on the
SourceForge CVS) for FreeBSD 4.x is broken, and SMAPI requires Huskylib, so
I can't actually test any of it.
I suggest you do a checkout of XMSGAPI instead, which is almost guaranteed
to work (independant of Husky).
#cvs -r -z3 -d:pserver:anoncvs{at}blizzard.dnsalias.org:/cvsroot co xmsgapi
#cd xmsgapi/unix/gnu-c
#make
#cd ../../../timed
#make
