Okay, one down partially at least -- turning off autorun stops the CD =
names from updating in explorer on a virgin, nothing extra installed PC. =
But that is not the only thing that stops it unfortunately, on a PC =
with 2 CDRW drives, it still doesn't update the CD names even with =
autorun turned on and functioning. I suspect another autorun type = setting
somewhere...

Something very strange is going on if you delete the file from =
Explorer and it doesn't disappear. Try Shift+Del or Shift+Click on =
Delete menu item if you aren't doing so already. With shift the files =

      System(s).

      No, I didn't say I see it all the time, just a LOT. I don't know =
what

Windows 2000

I don't have a problem on Win9x machines this way, it sends the

      > You have no CD-ROM software?

Some of the PC's yes, some no, and not the same version on any.

      >These are CD-ROMs or CD-R/W?>

Both, but mostly CDRW. Even have a DVD and a DVDRW.

      >If the latter, don't you have software to burn CDs?

On the ones with rw, yes, but none of them have that active crud =

cd type
      stuff.

In box on all but one PC. (newer video card than what's in the box =
