unless we did something like the older software used to do for host routed
stuff and put in the *C's or the bossnode's phone number in place of the
system's number... if systems were able to be designated as gateway
systems, something maybe similar to zonegates, then one could have the DNS
convert the domain name to the IP of the (zone)gate system and drop off the
mail there for further processing...
