subject: SPRINT: AVSS: New announcer introduced

The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints (AVSS) is pleased to announce
a new addition, yet an old friend as the series announcer for the 2004
racing season. Tom Kestemholtz of Lansing, MI accepted the position after a
phone conversation with series owner Tony Nosal. "I am real anxious to get
this season going." Stated Kestemholtz, "I have known some of these drivers
for a long time, and this feels like I am going right back to where this all
started."

Kestemholtz, a long time racing community member, has a history at many
Mid-Michigan race tracks. His first announcing gig came when he took it upon
himself to do the announcing duties at Spartan Speedway (Holt, MI) when he
owned the facility in the middle 1960's. From there, he moved over to Auto
City Speedway (Clio, MI) where he spent nearly 20 years. Most of the time
was spent on the 1/2 mile dirt track, until the middle 1980's when the track
was sold, and switched over to pavement. The last three years were spent
announcing for the ever popular dwarf cars of the Midwest Classic Racers
(MRC). For the 2004 season, Kestemholtz will spend his time talking about
the fastest asphalt short tracks cars in the country. These specialty built
sprint cars produce over 800 horsepower, in 1600 pound cars that will reach
speeds of nearly 150 miles per hour at some tracks.
