The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints (AVSS) is pleased to announce a new addition, yet an old friend as the series announcer for the 2004 racing season. Tom Kestemholtz of Lansing, MI accepted the position after a phone conversation with series owner Tony Nosal. "I am real anxious to get this season going." Stated Kestemholtz, "I have known some of these drivers for a long time, and this feels like I am going right back to where this all started." Kestemholtz, a long time racing community member, has a history at many Mid-Michigan race tracks. For the 2004 season, Kestemholtz will spend his time talking about the fastest asphalt short tracks cars in the country. These specialty built sprint cars produce over 800 horsepower, in 1600 pound cars that will reach speeds of nearly 150 miles per hour at some tracks.
