Hopefully you won't see the thread I'm in in that light. It's not intended
that way although it does soud strongly like it.

I dunno what VCL is (Virus Creation lab?), but I do have an interest in virii
and would like to recieve any code. Is there anything wrong with asking
someone to e-mail me PGP encrypted code?
rf> o Viruses which destroy hardware, burn out monitors, etc, are

I have not seen such a virus myself, but I have a fair idea of how one could
do damage to hardware. It's quite easy actually, I've seen it happen - but by
software error not virus. I'll tell ya in net/e-mail if ya want.
rf> o "email viruses" are OFF-TOPIC! They do NOT exist! Posting

Apparantely they do exist according to some reputable sources, although
there's two things I can see with it.
There's a company writing software that *supposedly* catches and removes
e-mail virii. However, this software also keeps track of all e-mail
sent/recieved by each person (eg in a company) and reports back to the boss
so they can find out who's wasting company time/money and fire them. Perhaps
the virus side of it is actually a cover?
Maybe this is referring to file-attaches or something in an e-mail header
that causes certain commands to be activated (like a word-macro or ansi-bomb
type thing), and not the actual message itself?
Cya..

The BBS scene is suffering from a major problem - decline. It's a universal
problem, not just limited to FidoNet. There is a way to a bigger, better BBS
scene. You can be a part of it. Join INTBBS_WK now, and share the many ideas.
