AA> Hello pilots ..
Firstly I must mention that I'm not a pilot.
AA> I'm not an aviation guy and never studied or read about Aviations
AA> except in this echo ..
Same goes for me.
AA> Now I just want to verify some informations that was told to me by
AA> someone who works as an Aircraft Mechanic ..
AA> I asked him about the danger of the use of Mobile Phones aboard
AA> commercial aircrafts and he told me that .. the fuel injection system
AA> to the jet engines recieves the commands from the cockpit via
AA> electronic signal with certain frequency .. and the mobile can
AA> intrrupt this electronic signal and therefore upset/changes the
AA> magnitude of the command-frequency and may cause the engine to shutdown
AA> ..
AA> I thought this is not accurate or true in any case ..
Like your good self I don't believe that the engines are controlled via
radio waves in anyway what so ever.
The very idea of such stupidity makes me shudder.
If on the other hand I'm wrong, which wouldn't be the first time and they
are controlled via radio waves the link would be via more than one coaxial
cable.
This is a cable with a single conductor in it's center and protected from
external interference by a metal sheath around it.
