I'm assuming the only reason he was "gone" was when they were trying
to lure Hogan for the PPV. Now that it looks like Hogan has no
intention of working with TNA, they can bring Russo "back".

I'm surprised that I'm agreeing more with Russo (pushing Raven
rather than pushing Jeff). But if they wanted to lure geeks like
me, they'd spend a lot less time on backstage crap, promos, and
inane "angles" and focus more on X-Division matches (and
tournaments).

Yes.
| I thought Hogan had dropped out?
Hogan stopped taking their calls, which probably means Vince has him
booked for Mania, but told him to keep his mouth shut (either that,
or Hogan has broken off ties hoping McMahon will call him for Mania,
and if he doesn't he'll try to tie his TNA appearance into yet
another booking for his daughter singing). For now, they're
planning on replacing Hogan with Savage.

I'm under the impression that neither Hogan nor Savage would
increase PPVs buys all that much (and not nearly enough to cover
even 5% of their payout) but TNA needs to have one or the other in
order to be able to pitch TNA as a package that a national
broadcaster would be interested in. I'm hoping that as soon as they
get a TV deal they'll drop Hogan/Savage and concentrate on wrestling
again. I don't think it'll happen (either a decent TV deal or them
concentrating more on wrestling than inane stories) but I can dream.
