Ooops, missed the unclickable, but I don't think that's really what he = meant.

I went back and looked. In his original post Frank wrote "There =

I think you might have read something that's not there, I just did a =
search of all the messages here and nobody said they have icons that = when
you click on something nothing happens.

What does "XP is slow resolving NETBIOS shares" mean? My guess =
is that you mean SMB not NetBIOS. Still, the client waits for the =
server. Do you mean that you snap servers are slow? Have you done a =
network capture to diagnose it?

Someone, and Robert claims it wasn't him, said that the problem =

You're co-opting my problem (g). My drive icons are never =
fugitive in 2000.
XP is so slow resolving NETBIOS shares that I call that a =
separate problem.
I have no special problems with CD icons, and I don't share =
them. I usually
have no mapped drives. I'm peer only, and my Snap! 1000 and =
2000 are hardly
servers in the usual sense - just cross-platform file bins. My =
fugitive
icons are nearly all shortcuts in a folder on the desktop that I =
created,
and that has no special system status. I haven't tried =
shift-del, but I
also have problems with rename and a simple move of the icon not =
taking in
the displayed large icon representation. And I NEVER see it in =
list or
        detail view.
