Well, that explains it. You were brought up to think that abusing
children by hitting them is normal.
True ADHD prevents a child from learning to listen for that tone of
voice, or instituting the reflective pause prior to acting. Beating them
into submission will not "teach" them that. They will not learn it from
a beating. What they will learn is fear.
