-> COST/BENEFIT RATIO FOR CIRCUMCISION
->
-> According to a 1994 article by Dr. Stephen Moses in the
-> Journal of Epidemiology, uncircumcised men are 3 to 4 times as
-> susceptible to HIV infection as compared to circumcised men.
-> The chance of "complications" (such as local infection,
-> bleeding, or damage to the penis) is 1 in 500, according to an
-> article in the 6/19/96 New York Times.
->
Matt,
I have read just the opposite. Refrences I have show what
cut men are more susceptible to HIV because of abrasions
to the glands area. I do not think that circumcision offers
much aid agains aids.
