At this point it's academic....If DoWahDiddy.net decides to use a Zone then
nodes who may belong to that network and another one will either be very
luck and be able to use both....ot have to choose between one and another.

The unfortunate fact is that all too often folks in Fidonet act like they
own everything.

It's not only zones...it's also echotags.  I can remember several
"influential" Fidonet members telling me that I had no business
listing
othernet echoes in the Echolist, and that if there was a conflict, the
othernets didn't count.

Bob, of Familynet, can attest to the fact that his echolistings, as well as
anyone else, have an equal footing in the Echolist Database.

I have a feeling that there are many othernets active, and they simply
aren't know to us because they see no reason to put up with the Fight-O-Net
style.

I hope this echo once again acts as a venue for all nets to discuss their
specialties and provide information that will allow folks join if they find
something of benefit.
