subject: OS/2 visual development

Hi everyone,

I would like to give me some ideas about what you all are using for visual
development for your OS/2 PM applications.

I was/am using GuideLines, version 2.1 (I know their upto 3.x), but I don't
think I will be upgrading this product. I am looking for a new visual
development platform which preferrably will allow easy porting to Windows/95/NT
as well. Language doesn't matter.

Is VisualAge very well suited for a home shareware programmer? I have the
hardware requirements, but is it worth it?

I hear that SpeedPascal will becoming more compatible with Delphi; also they
will be releasing some sort of visual builder this summer ... so this might be
a interesting tool. Currently, if you want to use SpeedPascal to build PM apps,
do you need to do you own coding for frame creation/coordinates, event
trapping, etc? ... things auto handled with a visual developer.

Anymore news on a old rumor of something called Bart? It was suppose to be a
VisualBasic compatible development tool for OS/2.

So I would appreciate your responses telling me whats good/bad as far as visual
builders for OS/2.

Cheers,
Eric
