How can that be!
I've two small quality phillps screwdrivers the most frequently used
one is within arms reach sitting between monitor and box.
I also hacked down a cheap one so it reaches deep enough
to access recessed screws. I cut off part of the handle
at the business end to reach recessed screws in monitors.

Did you ever check on the polarity issue?
