LAS VEGAS (April 2, 2004) -- Steady rainfall in the Las Vegas area
forced NHRA officials to cancel Friday's two scheduled qualifying
attempts at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Tommy Johnson Jr., who raced to his last career NHRA victory at the
spring Las Vegas event in 2001, enters the fourth race of the 2004 NHRA
season in 10th place in the Funny Car standings. Johnson has five career
NHRA victories.
