Recently, the ACLU took up a case against a neighborhood mosque.
That's right, AGAINST.

The mosque was broadcasting through loudspeakers a high db levels thier
calls to prayer and such.

The neighbors complained, the cops told the mosque to knock it off,
citing noise ordinances.
The mosque said they had the "religious freedom" to blast their stuff
when they wanted to.

Suffice to say, the mosque lost in court, and has since been torn down,
due to the building being condemned.
The Muslim sect that was causing the problem disbanded.

This was their property, but they were infringing on other property
owners, just as a property owner could be doing likewise, making too
much noise.

I asked Jeff years ago, what he would do if his neighbor put up a big
Wiccan symbol on his property.
Jeff said he would move.
