My Windows 2000 has a ton of resources, SH> everything runs, and it was even relatively cheap. cheap depends on one's perspective... w2k, wnt and newer stuff all manage the system resources differently than win9x ever did... we're speaking of memory and such allocations... i've one program here that is fine inder w2k but is a resource hog under w98se... just loading it on w98se eats up 35% of each of the resource catagories that the resource meter shows... ml>> linux = too much of a learning curve ml>> = existing programs won't run ml>> = too geeky SH> Does Linux not have a DOS box available? yes and no... yes as in one can install DOSEMU... no in that its not link one might think... its kinda of like an addon in an emulated machine... you have an image of the DOS flavor you want to run and configure DOSEMU to load that in the emulation and run it from there... yes, DRDOS, MSDOS, FreeDOS, whateverDOS... ml>> AIR, they are using some MSCHAP that's a buggar to authenticate ml>> thru...
