Duke 3D (and all previous games) wasn't done on the setup I describe.
Believe me, Shadow Warrior has bass. Lots of it. Just wait until you hear
some of the weapons and explosions. I have a preset I configured in Sound
Forge's para-graphic EQ section called "voice enhance" (not just for
voices) which, when used, boosts bass by over 15dB. It does make things go
boom.
