LAS VEGAS (April 2, 2004) -- Steady rainfall in the Las Vegas area
forced NHRA officials to cancel Friday's two scheduled qualifying
attempts at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Ron Capps, who has raced to 14 careerNHRA victories, including one at
The Strip at LVMS, enters the fourth race of the 2004 NHRA campaign in
14th place in the POWERade Funny Car standings. Capps won the fall Las
Vegas event in 2001.
