LAS VEGAS (April 2, 2004) -- Steady rainfall in the Las Vegas area
forced NHRA officials to cancel Friday's two scheduled qualifying
attempts at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Two-time defending NHRA Top Fuel champion Larry Dixon enters the fourth
event of the 2004 NHRA campaign in ninth place in the POWERade points
chase. Dixon has won the spring Las Vegas event the past two seasons.
