Hi folks, I've installed OS/2 Warp on an experimental basis,
and am having the following problems:
1. The default cursor type when starting an application appears
to be half a block in size instead of the normal underscore.
Applications such as msged just use whatever the default is.
Ditto for command line applications such as "zcalc". Launching
an OS/2 full-screen creates the underline cursor though, and
subsequent programs also work. Also, if I execute a ".cmd" file
to execute msged, it works OK. Maybe I should just stick with
that!
2. The top left hand corner of the Binkley screen has underlines
under all the blue stuff. Exiting and restarting Binkley makes
that go away. I have it automatically started whenever I boot.
3. I have a severe lack of file handles for OS/2 applications.
I have asked about this in the OS/2 programming conference.
4. My tasks aren't automatically shown on my "minimize to desktop"
unless I choose a window list.
BFN. Paul.
P.S. The good news is that the HPFS386 patches work on my current
install!
