Hello Roy, it is a lovely day today.
RJT> I have a drive here that's giving me trouble as well, and am
RJT> wondering about the same thing. Maybe get some kind of a cleaning
RJT> disc? I haven't looked into this stuff yet, but should...
This is a device on a music system only. Not a computor device
but I presume that the logic would also apply. I was worried
about leaving a residue film if I used a cleaner of any sort.
That is why I asked here.
What I did was so easy. Take the thing apart to have access to
the "eye" and gently wipe with a Q-tip. Go for it ! I can not
see how a cleaning disk would cure this. The "eye" is not making
contact like a floppy head would.
