I couldn't find a long enough one at hardware stores, and didn't want to
invest $25 at a 'tool dealer' for a one-shot screwdriver when my computer
dealer needed one for a particular set of speakers, so I made him one.

If you have or have access to a bench grinder, get a round steel rod that
'just fits' the diameter of the deep hole. Grind a tip on one end very
similar to a flat screwdriver, then grind the flat tip to a "V".
Fit it to any old #2 Philips screw you have around. Then bend an
"L" on the opposite end for a handle. In effect, you end up with
a two-edged Philips head, but the screws will likely be in plastic or wood
composite, and not be very tight. The difficulty comes in finding the head
of the screw with the tip rather than having it jammed between the head and
side of the hole.

Know what you mean there! Easter was also our 40th Anniversary so we had a
big crowd over with unusual amounts of food.

     Good luck... M.
