  Incidentally, you don't need kludges like this in OS/2.  This approach
  is DOS-think, and stems from the fact that a batch file in DOS has a
  smaller memory footprint than a full-blown executable.

  In OS/2, where the address spaces of all processes are distinct, and
  which has virtual memory, that approach is completely unnecessary. A
  better design would be to have the program spawn Maximus directly
  (using either spawn or DosExecPgm).
