Greets,
I just picked this echo up (hadn't noticed there was a Police Echo
before :).
I'm currently employed as Public Safety Officer in Quebec, Canada (if
you follow the news -- the province that was to become its own country
-- we also have really nice laws that prohibit english signs).
Given the political stability of the province, I'm seriously considering
leaving the province and pursuing my law enforcement career elsewhere.
One of my interests is employment as a State Trooper. I'm curious if
all American Police agencies require american citizenship, and if that
is the case, where can information be found on changing one's
citizenship?
I remember when I was completing my police training that some students
who were graduating were recruited by police agencies in Florida that
had a need for french speaking officers. I'm assuming that the police
agency must have assisted in making these people legally able to work in
the US.

Any information would be appreciated.
