Hi, Jeff. JG> Replying to a message of Frank Malcolm to David Begley: JG> I can't help with ACS. What is/was ACS? Australian Computer Society. A little over a year ago, the ACS arranged with Pegasus to provide Internet access to members for a one-off fee of $50, for up to (from memory) 10 hours peak or 20 hours off-peak per month. Pegasus expected that Internet advertising would compensate them for providing this service. This has not happened at least to the extent expected. JG> FM> Or, if it is to die, a good and cheap provider (for those of us not JG> FM> fortunate enough to have it through work :-)). JG> What are you going to use it for mainly? News, mail, WWW, ftp, etc. Mainly WWW and mail. News and ftp would be very much secondary requirements. Thanks. Regards, FIM. * * Withdrawing in disgust is not the same as apathy. @EOT: ---* Origin: Pedants Inc. (3:711/934.24) SEEN-BY: 711/934 |
