SOCK_STREAM, SOCK_DGRAM, and SOCK_RAW are supported. See the documentation
for the socket() call. Obviously, some combinations of protocol and socket
mode are not meaningful and are therefore not supported. In other words,
as a practical matter, the only useful supported mode/protocol combinations
are SOCK_STREAM/IPPROTO_TCP, SOCK_DGRAM/IPPROTO_UDP, and SOCK_RAW/0. It is
possible to make other meaningful combinations to do special things, such
as with ICMP, but it is very rare that this will be necessary.
