Hello Bj”rn.
31 Mar 06 05:14, you wrote to me:
MvdV>> button, my software will address it to 203/2 getting the
MvdV>> address from the origin line. But that node number is not binkp
MvdV>> adressable.
BF> It isn't? Why?
For one, there is a Hold keyword:
<<
Hold
Defines a node which is operational but cannot be publically
contacted This is expected to be a temporary condition.
Mail may be sent to such nodes, routed via its Hub, Host or
Coordinator, or held locally by the originating node until the
Hold keyword is removed.
<<
BF> Well, I must admit I've lost count of how Ward changes my entry
BF> there, but the original line reads:
BF> Hold,2,West_Net_IP,Sweden,Bjorn_Felten,felten.yi.org,300,CM,IBN
Which of course you *know* to be unacceptable. Letters and dots in the
telephone number field of the public node list are an even bigger "no
no" than Numbers with country code 0.
You are just going against the grain submitting frivolities like that.
