That is pretty weird!  Roxanne has an oddball habbit with her hot chili 
peppers, which we grow just for her - not that she's spoiled rotten or 
anything!  She will tear it open, and then pick out the seeds one by one and 
eat them.  She just tosses the flesh on the floor of the cage.  She might 
nibble on the skins later, but sometimes not.  She just really loves the 
seeds!
  
The worst kiss I ever had in my life was when I asked Roxy for a kiss, not 
realising that she had just finished a chili pepper!  I got a blister on my 
lower lip!

  This sounds a lot like a YNA I know...except that Margarita is a real
brat about it.  She hunts thru the dish for the peppers, smashes them
up real well with her beak. Then she hangs from the side of her cage
and says "Come give Marge a kissy. Give Marge a kiss." If you haven't
been paying attention, you go over and give her a kiss. Then when you
yell because your lips burn, the bird laughs at you!! She thinks
it's hilarious that your lips burn after she eats the peppers. We
know that she knows what she is doing because she specifically
searches the dish of food for the hot peppers. She has even gotten
to the point where she can tell the hot ones from the bell peppers
She only pulls this trick with the HOT peppers. BRAT BIRD!!!!
   Well, guess we love them anyway.

We have a parrot dont ask what kind all i can say he is green ok the wife 
knows what kind of bird he is besids being a green one, his name is osker and 
he can screech like thiars no tommoro is thair anyway to try and stop him of 
this the squirt bottle thing just dont work He likes it to much dont want to 
throw anything at him he was abused by preveous owner and we got him to start 
talking the last few months like (osker bird,meow,peanut butter,etc...) but 
this screeching it bits the ears a bit harshly now and our son just had ear 
sergery so he's a bit sensitive about it now so what can i try to stop this 
screeching thing!
does he bit? shure he's part Vampire!

Oliver,
   I would suggest that you get a copy of the book *My Parrot, My Friend*
by Bonnie Doane. It's a wonderful book with many useful suggestions about
getting you parrot to behave properly. There are actual case studies
about screaming birds and how they were helped, along with a step by step
process for modifying bird behavior.
   The book is a little pricey, about $25, but really well worth the
price. I include this book with each baby parrot I sell. I prefer to have
new owners read the book BEFORE they pick up their baby. It prepares them
NOT to make the mistakes that lead to bad behavior in their parrot.
 
I noticed that someone else recommended Sally Blanchard's books too. That
is also a good avenue for you to follow. She is well known and her methods
are quite effective with some birds.
