The ADHD child often does not, actually can not, link the punishment to 
the act. So, they feel that they are being hit for nothing. Even the 
ADHD child who is not that way is not amenable to corporal punishment.
Anyway, people beat their kids because they are bigger and they can. 
There are much better ways to discipline a child.
