Hi Paul

RM> Am about to try out yr BTPE executable. I fired it up on its own a

ran like clockwork. Not sure about the running report window at top

right, I'll look at it again

PE> Thanks. I see you had a 0.15 second turnaround on the ENQ,

PE> which is great. Can you see what MNP4 does now?

er... no... I haven't changed my modem inits in months (until

tonight, just trying X00's lockbaud and some faster dialling)

RM> 57600 isn't recognized. The source file DATA.C defines it

 RM> only for OS2. Reason?

PE> The reason is that originally I was after a 32-bit Binkley port,

.......

PE> running my system. One of the enhancements I did make was to

 PE> allow 57600 for OS/2. I didn't even consider DOS. Now I just

PE> went and checked your previous calls, and they were done with

 PE> Binkley 2.50. And Binkley 2.50 didn't support 57600, so why

PE> did you suddenly think BTPE would?

Just this crazy mad tangential thought that leapt unheralded into

my tiny brain when I read in your README.DOC that "You can use

57600". Silly me.

 PE> It's not something I would

PE> have expected you to even try. Why do you want to do that

PE> anyway? You're not transferring uncompressed files with me?!

PE> And even if you were, my end is only 38400.

Just a lust for speed, I spose. Also gives foreground tasks under

dv slightly more time.

Cheers
