Lots of practice, ah hates whining lusers. 

I try to make sure I have a backup, in this case, the original drive, and
then clone and fix. That takes the pressure off, and I figure if I screw up
I'll just do it again and mitigate my ignorance (uh huh).

It really isn't all that difficult. Possibly determining jumpers on the
drives when doing the copying could be tricky if you're hardware-challenged
(the master/slave thingy).
