I used to have a macro in WP6.0b for DOS that I would need to use
occasionally to clean up a file. It wasn't mine, but one that one of
the gurus here posted quite some time back. I'll see if I still have it
and run it through here again for general info. Perhaps something in
that might be some code you could use to deal with the WP 7/8 problems
as well.

Amen! I live in Texas, and some of MY collaborators might be in Germany
or Japan! About the only feature I've seen in WP8 that I don't have now
in my version of WP7 is the ability to save revisions automatically.
That sould sure be handy, as just dealing with the date-stamp on files
isn't always a good indicator.

Actually, one of the things that I liked in WP6.0b for DOS was the
ability to use TrueType fonts. I don't use a great many fonts, but
could add or delete fonts as the need arose.

That's true, but at least now I can do a full page preview and be able
to read it! That's how I usually proofread my documents now. ;)
