subject: plant food solutions?

CG> I have purchased a tub of chemical, one of theose N-P-K things,
CG> and am using an old hair shampoo bottle for initial feeding.
CG> Introducing the measure of powder to the bottle is a hazard -
CG> usually some of it spills over the lip, and I *hate* wasting it.
Here in the States we have a wonderful invention you may never have
heard of--it's called a funnel. ;-)
CG> Only question is: Will my holding the chemical in solution weaken
CG> it in any way? I would think not, it's just a chemical, right?
CG> And in solution form it's just as stable as in powdered form.
It all depends on the individual chemical, and just how long you
intend to store the solution. In general though, although it's
usually better to store chemicals in their dry, powdered form, it
shouldn't be any significant problem keeping solutions of that sort
for normal periods.
... Don't ask why, just do it.
