Brenton, at 00:35 on Jul 11 1995, you wrote to Paul Edwards... BV> say it again, Thanks Paul. You're just a tad to sensitive for me, that's BV> all. I mean after all, we live in a world where you get 3 years detention BV> for breaking into a house in the middle of the night and slaying a 6 year BV> old boy while he sleeps. If you rock into a Pizza Hut and blast the head BV> off of the first person you see, you get 13 years free room and board. If BV> you are smart enough to loose over a Billion dollars and squirrel away a BV> paltry 20-30 Mil for yourself, you get setup on a Spanish Isle for life. BV> And your biggest worry in life is the adherence to a specification with no BV> regard to how the violation may impact on the overall system. I love it. If it wasn't so tragic, it would almost be funny. And you forgot to mention that if you shoot somebody attempting to break into your house (and likely murder you and your family while you're sleeping), you may well end up doing 13 years yourself, with the aforementioned child-killer likely living in the next cell. You're better off getting pissed as a fart, running over and killing a family on a pedestrian crossing then pissing off. You only get 6 months for that these days... :-( BV> Yeah, why not. Then go and kill a few more pigeons and you'll feel heaps BV> better. BTW, I have this great mental image of you sitting in McDonalds BV> holding your Big Mac with only one bite taken from it. BV> Your eyes are bulging out of you head and you want to scream in terror BV> but you cant because you've got a hamburger spatula implanted in your BV> neck. The terror really takes ahold when you realise that you can't BV> even scream with your larynx smashed, having been severed by the BV> impaling implement, as your mind reels, "People aren't supposed to BV> die this way. That isn't in the spec". No problem though. Paul, unlike some of his avian victims, is not a protected species (something for which we can all be thankful, I guess). I wonder if he knows that some of the pigeons he murders are Australian natives, and are protected by the relevant Wildlife Act? :) Probably not, as until the other day, I didn't even know myself that there are indeed native protected pigeons (and they appear essentially the same as the imported variety).
