G'day Paul,

Replying to a message of Paul Edwards to Jeff Green:

JG>> It was setup right. It didn't work as you probably know by now.

PE> ??? It ISN'T set up right, otherwise you would not have got
 PE> an MNP4 connect!!!

Here's part of the log:

# 07 Jul 00:35:32.09 CONNECT 14400
> 07 Jul 00:35:32.19 mnp filter started
> 07 Jul 00:35:32.19 mnp filter finished

You'll note the CONNECT 14400 string. That only occurs when there is no
error correction otherwise I get a CONNECT 14400/REL message.

I don't know what the mnp shit is because "Error Correction
(MNP)" was disabled according to the command (&E0) in the manual.

PE> The chances of your Netcomm having a bug in it that
PE> doesn't allow you to disable MNP4 are incredibly
 PE> remote.

I'll be honest here. If you've got a problem, talk to Netcomm, 'cause I
don't care if I do have a three second delay on connect. Everything else
works.

If you and David G. ever figure out what the problem is, get him to post
his init string and configuration and I'll give it a go.
