Well if there is a way to stop her...no one seems to know what it
is...;) The theory is that the two male tiel that occupy the
cage next to her are setting her off...I did think of moving her
cage to the other side of the room...but some how I don't think
that would make a difference...they all play together...I let
them all out at the same time...and have my coffee table and a tv
cart next to it with toys for them to play on...heheh livingroom
taken over by the birds...;) The hours of enjoyment they give me
is worth the mess they make...;)
SH> what did her in... it just spread. But she was always cheer-
SH> ful and happy and full of life. I'm glad it was quick and
 SH> hopefully not too painful.
It is a shame...but you got the best of her personality...you
didn't have to experience her mood swings with breeding
season....I named her GT for Green Thing...when I first got her
she would chase my oldest Tiel..Scooby Doo all over the living
room...and if you ever watch them run they sort of have an
attitude...like look at me...I'm an African Grey...I'm bigger
than you...;) To say the least she is boss of this flock...and
if anything comes in new and she isn't sitting on babies...she
has to check it out first....Everyones cage is hers...you leave
it it's mine...attitude...she plays in the tiel cage whether they
are in it or not...and she tried getting near the keets..but they
scream at the top of their lungs if she gets too close...so I
moved them....I tried last time to give her dud eggs but within
two minutes she pitched them out of her little box...oh..don't
have a nest box for her...but found a cardboard box about 4"x4"
by 1/2" high....when she starts building her nest in the bottom
of the cage I give it to her...and she lays her eggs in it...I
felt it was a lot better than her laying them on the grate in the
bottom of the cage...the eggs would shoot out from under her
every time she tried to cover them...;) She is very very
protective of her cage and I have to wear a glove to change her
water dish and food...she bites and holds on for dear life...but
when I take her eggs away she mellows out and after a few days
she is playing again..like the little love she was in the
beginning...;) This very little bird has been one big learning
       experience...;)
I'm sorry I rattled on...but every day is something new...;)
