They signed Pudge to a one year 6.65 Mil deal. Pudge offered them a 10 year
contract worth about 85 million after that, but ONLY with the first 5
guaranteed. After that, it's down to how many games per year he plays.
Rangers don't really want to offer a really long contract, because he's a
catcher. There will be about 2 weeks after this season where the Rangers can
talk exclusively to Pudge about contacts, but he's expected to at least test
Free agency after this season. Pudge has said many times he wants to stay,
though..
