Ben,

BR> STINGER.ZIP 31,432,85 04-13-16 13:36:14
BR> stinger32.exe Weekly 32-bit Stinger
BR> stinger64.exe Weekly 64-bit Stinger
BR> A STANDALONE utility used to detect & remove
BR> specific viruses. It is NOT a substitute for
BR> full anti-virus protection! Stinger Utilizes
BR> next-generation scan technology, including
BR> rootkit scanning, and scan performance
BR> optimizations. Daily updates at:
BR> http://www.mcafee.com/us/downloads
BR> /free-tools/stinger.aspx
BR> Magic: STINGER

My concern is that most of these virus scanners or utilities tend to
"fight with" another virus scanner/utility that's found on ones
system. The lone exception I've seen is the Sophos Virus Removal Tool,
which I think is similar to the file you noted in the post.

Daryl
