Hi Tom Walker, hope you are having a nice day >> RCA is owned by the French...can't pronounce or spell the name. 88 TW>And the name of the French company is Thompson. At which point you've managed to remind me at last who bought who first. :> I used to do tv/vcr repair back in the late '80s and early '90s when all this ownership swapping took place. Before Thompson got them they were owned by Phillips out of The Netherlands and when Thompson bought them out they were known as Phillips-Thompson for a while. Oddly enough right before the RCA-Phillips deal went thru, GE even got hold of RCA for a short time. (or was it rca got ge...) Suffice to say for us repair techs it was a mess of a time trying to keep up w/ who owned what and where to send the parts invoices to. -=> Yours sincerely, Paul Williams <=- ...
