Daryn Pittman and the Sherdon Motorsports team are looking
forward to returning to the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track this weekend
in Fort Worth, TX.  During the World of Outlaws visit to TMS last
October, Daryn piloted the No. 21 Sherdon Motorsports, Pepsi, Hop & Sack,
Gaerte, Mopar, GLR, CMC sprinter to victory lane on his preliminary night
and is hoping for a repeat performance of last year.  "I feel
really good about going back to Texas Motor Speedway.  Anytime you can
return to a track where you run well, it gets the whole team excited.  We
won the prelim show last year and we were running second to Steve
(Kinser) on the final night when our motor started going away with five
laps left.  We finished fourth, but we knew we had a car that
could've won both nights," said Daryn.

            Daryn is currently 8th in the World of Outlaws point
standings, but this early in the season a few good night can make a world
of difference.   As of now, only 41 points separate Pittman from second
place.  To close that gap the team plans to keep their consistent
finishes coming.  They have six top-ten finishes in the eight World of
Outlaws features this season and have third and fourth place finishes
with the O'Reilly Sprint Bandits.  When asked about his view on the
season so far Daryn said, "As a whole, I don't think we have
been that good at all.  We have struggled qualifying and that is really
hurting us because we haven't started better than 10th all year. 
Looking on the bright side, we have passed cars in every feature
we've raced in except for when we broke opening night.  And the
last few weeks we have been getting better and better.  But the days of
passing 10-15 cars for a win with the Outlaws are few and far between, so
we just need to qualify better.  If we can do that and start towards the
front, I know we have a good enough car to win," he said.
