What do you rent? The payment on my house and 25+
acres of land is less then that! And it includes money
that is put into an escrow account to pay my
homeowner's insurance AND property tax.
I know rent in some places is higher then in others but
even when we were living in VA, close to DC, we were
paying less then that for a two bedroom apartment.
Granted that's been some years ago but I don't thing
rent has went up that much seeing how property values
have leveled out.

Not picking on you but what is whatever? Does that
include cable TV, call waiting, and such? I have known
several people who tell me that they are having trouble
making ends meet but they are paying $25-$50 a month
for cable. I know a guy right now who has every one of
his credit cards maxed but he isn't willing to give up
his digital satellite TV for $55 a month.
