I'm not so sure. A distant planet, even one in another solar system
would be constructed of the same elements, and would bear life in
a similar manner (from the sea). It's true "they" may not look like
us, but not a lot of difference is to be expected. They may be
reptilian in appearence, but have a similar number of appendages.
The birth and development (evolution) of mankind was a fluke.
...But there are enough billions of other galaxies with their
billions of stars for such a fluke to have occurred many times
over. It's in the laws of averages. The only argument you are
likely to get from scientists is in the probability that any of
these other races have ever come to earth.
